Hey, I’m Sam!
Thanks for stopping by! I am a designer, illustrator, story teller, and full of optimism. I received my BFA in Medical Illustration, and MFA in Visual Communication Design from Rochester Institute of Technology, where I also had the privilege of working with Distinguished Vignelli Professor of Design, R Roger Remington, as a graduate assistant and designer. After college, I spent 5 years educating undergraduate and graduate students as a visiting and adjunct professor in both the School of Art and School of Design within the College of Art and Design at RIT.
Currently, I wear a user experience and user interface designers cap where I am neck deep in curating seamless experiences, and implementing consistent design systems and branding across web and mobile apps, and within virtual reality devices.
In my spare time, I enjoy exploring my city, doodling as much as I can, picking up freelance work, and most forms of exercise. You can often find me with a moleskin in one hand and micron pens in the other while I sip on a warm mug of tea and listen to John Mayer on repeat.
